Save or $$$plurge...

So my friend messaged me this week about this great protein treatment deal on groupon for $99...I said girl please mine is $2.50...which brings me to my point, a few things I have decided to either save or splurge on!

SAVE:Apoghee is the brand and it can be found at Sallys-a 2 part protein treatment...takes a little time and doesnt exactly smell like Miss Cherie, but definitely keeps my hair long, strong, and shiny! You can do it every 6 weeks...the brand also has a less intensive weekly conditioning treatment for around $5 that I also love. (and yes ive tried joico/keratin treatment and its not any better than this stuff-however joico does have a nicer scent)

SPLURGE: Latisse-There is nothing else like it currently on the market! It really does work at creating longer and thicker lashes--the tiny little bottle last for months (I dont put it on the little brush i dab a teeny drop right on the lash line to decrease waste, but dont actually touch the eye it could get contaminated..the nurse in me comes out every now and then) This item is usually a BIG splurge but can be found today two bottles for $75...which makes it much less of the usual $120 per bottle splurge!
Can purchase by going here: http://sharingspree.com/Referral/4bb5000e

SAVE: exfoliating scrubs. I honestly dont understand why some of them sell for $20 or more...get one from the drug store and put your money towards a treatment product for your skin or foundation! Something that will actually make a difference like...spend your savings on crest white strips (something I DONT recommend going cheap on, the quality goes down with the price on this product but lucky for us there are always coupons that can be found online for it)

SPLURGE: A good haircut. I know i know, at first I was NOT okay with the $40 and up Nashville stylist charge BUT I have had my hair cut (which basically means just cutting the same style only 1/2 inch shorter each go around for about $25) and ive had my hair REALLY cut and it makes all the difference!
*Dont get your panties in a wad I know there are great stylist out there for less, im just saying from my experience...You get what you pay for so dont be surprised when those 'side bangs' you asked for look more like the bangs you had in 5th grade--get a stylist that is well trained its worth the extra monies** Laura Beth @ Trim Salon in Nashville (12th ave south area) is hands down the best! I have tried so many salons from Hendersonville to Nashville to the Boro and she gets it right every time!

SAVE: Mechanical eyeliner. Unlessss youre going for something like a 24 hour wear gel liner (Clinique has a fantastic one by the way for $15.50) I go straight to the drug store for my black water resistant mechanical liner. Its nothing fancy but stays on as well as the more expensive brands! And liquid liner....just dont. it sucks.

**Side note, anything I write is because I really believe it is good enough to pass along...I am not paid for anything or by anyone**

Next post will be about Microneedling for the skin--Where has this been all my life?? Love it! xoxo
